SOLID BRASS DOORBELL COVERS
The
doorbell covers are solid brass with a bluish/slightly green
brass patina. The highlights are polished shiny, and the background/low
areas are dark with traces of patina as if it has been aging.
There is no protective coating on the brass doorbell, so eventually
you will have to polish the highlights of your brass doorbell
button if you want it to remain shiny, or at any time if you
like the look of it, you can apply an exterior brass sealer
to your brass doorbell.
You
may order a brass doorbell button by entering the quantity you
want in the boxes under each doorbell picture. When you have
made your selections, press the "Continue with order"
button on the bottom of the page to go to the order form to
confirm and complete your order.
There
is no special wiring required for the lit doorbell button; it
simply hooks up to your existing doorbell wire.
If you have a long rectangular button,
you may replace it with any of our doorbell covers- you should
have approximately a 5/8" hole in the wall behind your existing
doorbell with the wire coming through, which you simply attach
to the screws on the back of your beautiful new doorbell cover's
button. This is powered by DC voltage (like a battery) so you
need not worry about getting shocked, but you should avoid contact
between the two wires to prevent any damage to your transformer.
